{"id":5651,"date":"2015-05-26T14:52:52","date_gmt":"2015-05-26T14:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bwnft.nhs.uk\/?post_type=news&#038;p=4593"},"modified":"2015-06-03T14:02:57","modified_gmt":"2015-06-03T13:02:57","slug":"birmingham-womens-hospital-announces-new-executive-team-roles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bwh.timothyblake.com\/?p=5651","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham Women\u2019s Hospital Announces New Executive team roles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bwnft.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/bwnh-sign.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bwnft.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/bwnh-sign-530x353.jpg\" alt=\"bwnh-sign\" width=\"530\" height=\"353\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4594\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Birmingham Women\u2019s Hospital has appointed Neil Savage as interim Chief Executive and Dr Suzanne Cleary as Director of Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Neil Savage who is currently Chief Operating Officer at BWH, and has been at the Trust for seven years, will step up to the role of interim Chief Executive following the departure of Professor Ros Keeton who leaves the Trust on Friday 29 May.  The interim appointment will provide continuity of leadership for the Trust as it continues to build on a number of significant projects. Neil\u2019s appointment will also support the Trust\u2019s plans to maintain and develop services to meet the growing demand for women and family centred services (VITA) and negotiations with Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital. Neil will take up his post on Monday 1 June 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Elisabeth Buggins, Chair of Birmingham Women\u2019s NHS FT, said: \u201cAs a result of Ros Keeton\u2019s leadership BWH has a strong management team.  Neil\u2019s appointment means we can continue the journey we have started to maintain, develop and deliver 21st Century standards of clinical care through both our wider VITA work and negotiations with Birmingham Children\u2019s Hospital which will improve services for women and for children in the Birmingham area\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Suzanne Cleary has been appointed as Director of Strategy for the Trust.  Suzanne joins BWH from Birmingham Cross City CCG where she has been Chief Officer of Strategy &#038; Primary Care Development. <\/p>\n<p>As Director of Strategy Suzanne will be responsible for leading on the successful development of the Trust\u2019s business and corporate strategy shaping the organisation and its services for the future.  This will include leading on the development of commercial and service transformation development opportunities as well as enabling on the current integration project with Birmingham Children\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ros Keeton said: \u201cSuzanne brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the leadership team.
