Congratulations to Dr Jackson Kirkman-Brown, one of our leading clinical scientists, who was awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace on 7th March by the Princess Royal, HRH Princess Anne.
Jackson is the Science Lead for the Birmingham Women’s Fertility Centre and Director of the Centre for Human Reproductive Science at the University of Birmingham. He is one of the UK’s leading researchers in the field of reproductive medicine and heads cutting-edge studies into the science behind fertility for the benefit of couples struggling to conceive.
His clinical work involves a close relationship with the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The Queen Elizabeth is the receiving hospital for military casualties, many of whom are serving in Afghanistan.
This great honour has been awarded in recognition of Jackson’s outstanding work for services to reproductive science and commitment to fertility preservation in injured military personnel.
This is a fantastic achievement for Jackson, his family, the fertility team and for the Women’s Hospital.
