Birmingham Women’s were recently awarded a rating of five from the Food Standards Agency. This is the highest rating awarded for food hygiene and
demonstrates that we have very good standards of food hygiene in our Trust.
The Trust was inspected by the local authority, Birmingham City Council, and we are delighted to have achieved the top rating. Hospital food for our patients, staff and visitors is prepared and cooked on site. Our healthy menu caters for all diets and changes daily and it is our priority that we provide good quality food in the best environment.
Chief Executive, Professor Ros Keeton commented, “This is a tremendous achievement and truly reflects the hard work that staff have put in to ensure high standards. It is wonderful for patients to know that as well as a high standard of clinical care, that our catering services are excellent too.”
