Birmingham Women’s Hospital have today received the results from the PLACE Inspection (Patient Lead Assessment of the Care Environment) which took place during the summer. We are delighted to announce that the Trust has achieved high ratings for each area of the assessment which includes:
- Cleanliness
- Condition, Appearance & Maintenance
- Privacy, Dignity & Wellbeing
- Food & Hydration
All areas inspected scored over 95%, with 98.99% for cleanliness and means that the Trust’s ratings are higher than the national average. The Assessment was carried out by patient representatives which also included our patient Governors.
Chief Executive, Professor Ros Keeton commented, “Achieving these results has been a real team effort across the Trust and I would like to thank our staff. Ensuring a clean and comfortable environment and our patient’s privacy, dignity and wellbeing is paramount to us. It is testament to our staff who uphold the Trust’s commitment to high quality care in whatever job they do.”
The PLACE results follow our recent Food Standards Hygiene rating of five which is the highest rating achievable.
