Survival rates for ovarian cancer improved in the 1970s when BWH oncology specialists helped develop surgery for this life-threatening condition.
Today our gynaecology department continues this tradition of ground-breaking treatment and innovation.
The unit is one of only 12 units in the UK accredited by the British Society of Urogynaecologists which provides high quality comprehensive care for women with a wide range of gynaecological conditions. The service provides inpatient, outpatient and urgent access clinics.
